Graduate study
The Center’s overview directed prospective M.S. and Ph.D. students to Rutgers University’s Graduate Program in Ecology and Evolution, which brought together faculty, field stations and research opportunities across ecological scales.
Undergraduate study
Students could pursue restoration questions through ecology and evolution, natural resource management, environmental studies and biology, including independent and honours work in field-based sciences.
Professional and public learning
Short courses ranged from intensive two-day workshops for land managers and landscape designers to longer programs combining classroom instruction with field observation.
Recovered course records
The surviving pages document programs on native meadow restoration, invasive plant ecology and control, woodland restoration, urban wetlands and stream restoration. Their descriptions capture the applied questions practitioners were confronting in 2002.
